Philippe Maetz is appointed CEO of AICHELIN subsidiary SAFED

The AICHELIN Group, one of the world’s leading providers of heat treatment solutions, has appointed Philippe Maetz as the new Managing Director of AICHELIN’s subsidiary SAFED, located in Besançon, France.

In his new role, he will be responsible for further expanding the business segment of wire mesh belt furnaces in Central and Western Europe. SAFED specializes in heat treatment systems for mass and precision small parts made of steel, stainless steel, and non-ferrous metals, and is part of AICHELIN.

Philippe Maetz brings extensive international industry experience. He has been with AICHELIN since 2022, most recently serving as Area Sales Manager West Europe at AICHELIN Services GmbH. Prior to that, he held various leadership positions in sales, engineering, and project management in Germany, France, and Switzerland at companies such as the Hager Group and EKS Keller.

SAFED was founded in Switzerland in 1936 and has been part of the AICHELIN Group since 2007. Together with AICHELIN, SAFED offers comprehensive services, including modernizations, conversions, and spare parts, also for third-party systems. SAFED systems are designed, engineered, and manufactured by AICHELIN.
